We are also aware that we live in an ever-changing world.  A world where travel habits are shifting and becoming more important.  Traditional data sources, often used to predict future travel habits, are becoming outdated and less reliable.  We also want to influence travel habits rather than encourage more of the same.  

Therefore, we are seeking opportunities to gather new data or research material to assist our clients with their forthcoming projects.

There are some clear gaps that need filling.  Taking public EV charging stations as an example, how is demand influenced by passing trade, when is demand for charging greatest, what is the average duration of stay and what do drivers do while they are waiting?  How is their behaviour influenced by the facilities provided?  

Or, how has the increase in home deliveries impacted the overall movement of vehicles, what impact can delivery vehicles have on highway safety, streetscape and the demand for parking on residential streets? How can the delivery of goods be better managed and built into development proposals?

Or, how has the increase in home working impacted on the demand for workplace and station car parking and can this land be better used for something else?

The summer break is over, meaning now is a good time to collect data and to plan for the year ahead.
